Behind the scenes, the wheels have been turning, and we are finally ready to send you our BackerKit Survey! You'll need to complete this so that we can get all the necessary details from you to send you your pledges when they're ready! :DUnfortunately, we've also had to learn something new in recent weeks: Kickstarter collects prices as gross prices, not net prices. This means we have to pay 19% tax on a good three-quarters of all revenue. That means just about 13,000 euros of the support we've received so far goes directly to the tax office and doesn't flow into SUKKERS 💀🥀 Although we sent this exact question to Kickstarter beforehand, there seems to have been a misunderstanding in communication, as we understood the statement “Yes, we collect all taxes” to mean that they are collected on top and not included. As I said, this is our first time doing this and we're learning for next time.
To make up for this, we have set up a Goodie Shop via BackerKit, where new backers who joined the project later can continue to support SUKKERS. It now looks like this:
You also have the opportunity to upgrade some Goodies during the BackerKit Survey if you find something else you want! Such as the completely new “Animated Thank You” from me personally, hehe 💖 You can also add that in your BackerKit survey!
Now for the most important question:
How are we getting on with the project?
We are currently working on producing the goodies, and the animated SUKKERS Q&A is already in full production! The release is expected to be in 3 weeks!! So stay tuned!
Pre-production is in full swing at the same time, and we're working on the overall plot structure of all 8 Drops 🩸 – before we focus on the script and production of Drop 1. A solid framework is essential here! You'll find out more about the release plans in the Q&A!
So: Don't be surprised by the BackerKit email you'll receive in the next few days—it's from us and it's IMPORTANT! Fill it out carefully— it won't take more than 5 minutes! And then we'll be ready to go the next step with you!

🎉Happy SUKKERS-was-funded-with-576%-Day!!! 🎉
Folks, can you believe it?! On behalf of my entire darkviktory studios team, I want to thank you for believing in us and our queer vampire gang and for making it possible for us to tell stories that would else remain unheard.
We raised €86,436 in just 31 days! And that's what's so great about crowdfunding – together, we build a backbone that can and will give hope to all queer kids, because they see themselves represented in a story that tells of their struggles and shines a light in the darkness!
❓What happens next?
Kickstarter will collect all the funds in the next few days and in about 2 weeks, all backers will receive a survey from BackerKit that will gather all the information we need in order to send you your goodies! Many of them are already finished, many are still in production – You can find out what to expect and when in your support tier or in the survey you will receive via BackerKit :) And maybe there will be a surprise or two waiting for you in that survey 😊
We have also decided to use the new Kickstarter feature that allows people who only become aware of SUKKERS later on to still support us – to increase the chance of reaching the final stretch goal and bringing you the best possible version of 🩸Drop 01! At the same time, we will continue to try to find sponsors and financiers to support us with the production of SUKKERS!
We will keep you updated! The animated Q&A will be released soon, where you will learn much more about SUKKERS, including answers to your questions, updates and news 😍

Sukkers, you're the BEST! 🦇
In the past few hours, we've really picked up speed and surpassed our 75k stretch goal—and the 85k stretch goal is just a heartbeat away! That means no matter what happens, you'll definitely get the first act of Viktor's story 🩸 DROP 01 is secured!! 🎉🥳
But remember – that only means in storyboard style for now! We'd say it's like an animatic – and it'll probably look something like this:
If we somehow manage to reach 100k, we'll have the resources to animate it in full! You know – full colour, with rigs, animations and backgrounds! Kind of like this:
And the crazy thing is that we're really not far from this goal – and we already have so many backers that even now, if everyone paid £17.70 extra, we would reach that goal. That's insane!!
Let's see where we'll be at 5 p.m. (CEST) – and whether we can find ways to bring you the best possible result for Drop 01 – because now you've motivated us so much that we definitely want to make it as awesome as possible for you!
We are currently working hard behind the scenes on the animated Q&A and all the amazing goodies, and as soon as we can finally jump back into the story, there will also be updates on the voice actors!
So stay tuned – even after the crowdfunding, you will be kept up to date on every step here! One thing is certain: SUKKERS IS COMING!
We've shown with all our major projects in the past that we're disciplined and determined to push through – and as soon as we hit the 85k stretch goal, you'll see exactly how – because then there'll be a cool behind-the-scenes and making-of featurette!
